What data we collect
- Google account information when you sign in (name, email, profile picture).
- Strava OAuth tokens, stored encrypted and used to access your Strava account on your behalf.
- Strava activity data fetched on demand when you use the service (for example through Claude or ChatGPT via MCP).
How we use it
We use this information to authenticate you, to connect securely to your Strava account, and to answer your questions through Claude or ChatGPT when you invoke our MCP connector. We don't use your data for purposes beyond operating Stride as described here.
Third-party AI disclosure
When you ask Claude or ChatGPT questions about your Strava data, relevant activity information may be sent to Anthropic or OpenAI to generate responses. Both providers offer settings to disable use of your content for training their models. We encourage you to review and enable those options if you wish. Stride does not use your Strava data for any AI model training.
Data storage
Strava tokens are stored encrypted using AES-256-GCM. We do not store your activity data. It is fetched live from Strava when you ask a question.
Data retention
You can disconnect Strava at any time from your dashboard; that deletes your stored Strava tokens. You can also request deletion of your account entirely by contacting us (see Contact below).
